nonlinear allows you to design and present non-linear presentations. You can practice your presentation or display it on an external monitor. You can navigate to any slide without distraction using a visual matrix, move a presentation in infinite directions smoothly, record the audience's input, and be more convincing. No more "I'll get to that in several slides" or "imagine if we were looking at this webpage". Using your iPad, you can edit and prepare for presentations and use the device for navigation, seamlessly. You're also able to pre-load webpages, movies, images, and draw diagrams to save time while standing in front of an audience. You can view all your slides at one time while your audience only sees the one slide you want to show them at any given time.

This app is based on the "Talking Pad" idea by marketing guru Seth Godin. A contribution from every download goes to Acumen Fund.

Great concept! Needs refinement.

I love this concept of creating presentations with mixed media and building in flexibility to take the discussion in different directions, dig deeper, or skip ahead in the interest of time. I'm anxious to give this a go but it kept shutting down while I explored the demo presentation. I did not attempt to create my own, yet.

Good start

Really good, refreshing to not see an exact powerpoint clone. Give us direct text application to slides and the ability to import/export direct to mobileme/dropbox please.

Poorly executed; not work $10

This app is very poorly designed. It is hard to get a presentation into it. Rather than be able to browse the web for my presentation, I have to type in the full URL. Better yet would be to import from DropBox, as is supported by many other applications, such as Good Reader.

After downloading a file from the web, I found that I needed to go to another import screen (WHY? Didn't I just tell you I wanted to import that file???), which seems to take forever and then crash. After the crash, I went back and found the file still there but still needing "importing" and got the process to finish.

Upon going into presentation mode, I find that I can only move through my presentation in a grid fashion. When I reach the last slide in a row, it will not take me to the next slide, which is the leftmost slide in the next row. Thus, it can ONLY be used for nonlinear presentations and NOT for linear ones in its current form. In addition, the thumbnails are too small to be useful, so it is not possible to really use the grid for moving in a nonlinear fashion.

Finally, the markup tools are SOOO laggy that it is impossible to make any meaningful annotations on the presentation.

Overall, nothing really works as promised. Do not spend your money on this.
